To create something new, you need to make more mistakes than others

Some people think that success is purely a matter of luck. Well, he was lucky and he did it.

Of course luck has its place, but there is also hard work and a long process of trial and error.

Edison's famous quote, "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." The meaning of which is that he had to try 10,000 (different sources give different numbers) again to get results.

So if you give up too soon, or if you're just afraid of failure, you'll never create anything really new.
