It beats GPT-5.2 and Gemini 3.0 Pro on some reasoning benchmarks, while V4 Pro output costs $3.48 per million tokens — vs $30 for GPT-5.5, released the day before. On knowledge tasks DeepSeek still lags the frontier by 3–6 months, and supports text only — no images, audio, or video.
