When managing a product using modern process management methods such as unit economics, Goldratt's Theory of Constraints, the metrics tree, and others, you inevitably face one non-standard challenge: how to connect real product metrics (for example, the number of users who used search and saw zero results) with product revenue, when there is no direct connection between the metrics, and users are not monetized at all within the business model being used. This topic is quite widespread, but I have not seen anyone talk about it.
